Our journey started in 2015 with a thought in Sayaji Shinde’s mind that it is firstly the mother who gives everything selflessly to us when we are in her womb for 9 months. Once we are exposed to this world it is only a Tree after our mother who gives us oxygen, food, water, soil, shadow and much more selflessly. A Tree is the only living organism on this earth which offers everything it has to the one who plants it and also to the one who cuts it.
Sayaji Shinde thought of implementing this thought in his life with the first Devrai which was set up at Divadi in 2016. From there on there were thousands of people who have voluntarily joined our mission. Currently we have 29 Devrais, 2 Vruksha Banks, Bio-diversity Parks, Butterfly Gardens and Rock Gardens through which we have successfully integrated the thought of tree plantation and conservation in the minds of thousands of people. Sahyadri Devrai has its presence in over 29 places in Maharashtra and we have successfully planted 6.5 Lac + Indigenous trees.
